Boracay Transfers, Boracay Island, The Philippines

There are a few types of transfers to Boracay Island, private and public, which one should I choose and why. There is also a helicopter service available, with pre-arranged flights from the Caticlan or Kalibo airports.

 

Private Transfers to Boracay - The cost for private transfers is higher, starting at about php500 per person as of 2011 for Caticlan boat transfers. The benefit here is that you are riding on private boats and buses that offer more creature comforts and are considered safer, due to the private investment.

 

Public Transfers to Boracay - The cost here is far cheaper, however the boats and buses are in most cases loaded to capacity, this leads to being uncomfortable, especially during the long ride from Kalibo to Caticlan.

 

Private Helicopter Charter -

 

From Caticlan to Boracay - php3,000 per person (minimum of 2 persons).

 

From Kalibo to Boracay - php44,000 (minimum of 2 persons)
