Cagban Beach - Boracay Island Jetty Port

Cagban Beach Boracay is the arrival and departure point for Boracay Island Philippines.

Cagban Boracay Beach / Jetty Port

The Cagban Beach welcome center is new. Boracay started building it in 2004 and it was finished in 2006. Originally Cagban beach jetty port was built as an alternative docking station for the banca boats during the typhoon season and low season.

But due to the number of visitors to Boracay Philippines in recent years, the Department of Tourism decided provide and alternative docking station to handle the larger number of visitors.

With the large number of boats docking just off white beach, the water started to get oily and with so many boats arriving daily, they needed to preserve the beach.

Many visitors to Boracay have complained that Cagban beach jetty port removes some of the charm or romance that once accompanied the feeling that overcame you as you approached the island of Boracay.

But in reality, we are helping to preserve the beachfront, the water and this step also helps with many other environmental benefits, so for most visitors, they understand and have no worries.
